Presentation

Amherst Island is one of the best known spots in Ontario for photographing owls in the winter.  The Island regularly supports large populations of owls including the snowy owl, short-eared owl, great-horned owl,the rare boreal owl, barred owl, the boreal owl can occasionally be seen in the owl woods as well. Other birds that we may also spot include the bald eagle, rough-legged hawk and the red-tailed hawk.  Other wildlife in the area include wolves, coyotes, deer and red fox.

Fred will guide you to prime locations to photograph these birds, away from crowds where you will blend in with the environment and capture spectacular images.  Fred will be on hand at all times to give you as much (or as little) help as you need. All levels of photographer are very welcome on this workshop. This workshop is a bird photographer’s dream.

Spaces are limited!

Workshops are available for single day or multi-day sessions. This small group experience ensures you have an intimate experience with the owls and allows us to focus on the skills you need to beautifully photograph these magnificent creatures.
